Use Of Feng Shui To Sleep Better

The art of feng shui has found its application in various spheres of our lives. The whole idea behind this art form of is to facilitate a better quality of living.

Feng shui is an ancient systematic and spiritual technique developed in the ancient Chinese civilisation. Over the centuries it has been found to have a plethora of beneficial effects in improving our different aspects of lives.

Of late, feng shui has been found to be very useful in addressing the sleep disorders found in many people. Having a good night’s sleep is of paramount importance for maintaining a healthy mind and body. Sleeplessness has a direct bearing on our day-to-day routine.

The feng shui art form both help in inducing sleep for those who have to toss restlessly on the bed for hours before being finally enveloped by sleep. It also helps in going into a deep slumber.

Following are some of the ways and means by which the feng shui technique helps in promoting a good sleep:

According to the feng shui theory, by sleeping near the window you expose yourself directly to the negative chi energy that enters the house. Likewise, any positive energy that you already possess would get easily dissipated through it.

Hence, feng shui recommends not to sleep directly by the side of a window or to cover it by means of a curtain if sleeping there cannot be avoided.

Feng shui forbids keeping the bed in the bedroom in such a way that would keep your head towards the door.

The position of the bed should be such that your feet would also not point towards the doors but the position should allow you a perfect vision of the doors. The placement of the bed in such positions augurs well for the balance of the chi energy in the room.

To maintain a proper ambiance of the bedroom as per the feng shui technique, you should look for any angular or pointed objects that might be present in the room.

These objects are known as poisoning arrows in feng shui theory. They have a deleterious effect on the environment and militate against inducing a proper sleep in the persons who sleep.

Remove them from the room if you can, or make sure that they do not point towards the beds. If it is impossible to do either, then in order to nullify the bad chi it generates, a pot of plant should be placed near it.

The feng shui theory prohibits the placements of pictures, drawings and artworks of water in the bedroom as they inhibit in inducing a proper sleep.

Photos, drawing and artworks of water bodies like rivers, lakes, ponds and oceans are also barred as according to the feng shui guidelines as they attract the bad chi which might be responsible in bringing in misfortunes to the people who sleep there.

These are some of the tips and guidelines that feng shui recommends for enjoying a good night’s sleep.
