All About Bad Feng Shui

Feng shui deals with the flow of energy. It is important for its practitioners to understand that there is a difference between sheng chi which is the good and vital energy and sha chi which is the bad and harmful chi.

It is important to know this difference in order to avoid bad feng shui. Sheng Chi flow through living objects in curved outlines and brings good fortune. Many people believe that sheng chi can be found near water areas, in the balance of the feng shui elements, and in harmonious relationships among others.

Sha chi flow through straight lines and brings bad fortune. Some believe that sha chi can be felt in pointed objects, proximity to hospitals, proximity to cemeteries, glaring lights, and charged emotions.

There is a world of difference between bad feng shui and good feng shui. Below are some of its major differences:

Bad Feng Shui

Can cause health concerns

Can cause material loss and financial problems

Can block growth and opportunities

Hurts relationships

Increases the risk of accidents

Creates hindrances

Emphasizes malevolence

Good Feng Shui

Can improve health and overall well-being

Can bring abundance

Can open up opportunities

Improves romance and other relationships

Champions patronage and guidance

Attracts fame and recognition

Protects against malevolence

Bad feng shui is characterized by cold damp rooms, unpleasant smells, ill health after relocating to a new house, uncomfortable atmosphere, legal problems, isolation, and leaning trees.

If you see or experience any of these things on your home, you should consider getting feng shui consultation to eliminate the bad feng shui from your home.

You will know that you have good feng shui if you see sunny rooms, good atmosphere, natural smells, harmony with your loved ones, active social life, healthy people, and even healthy trees. Good feng shui is what you should strive for to encourage health and luck.

Practical Tips to Avoid Bad Feng Shui

You should be careful with mirror placement. Never place it opposite your front door. Take note that mirrors that face each other create misunderstandings in the home.

Get rid of clutter. The clutter on the living space will create bad feng shui because it stagnates the energy that should flow freely on the room.

Don’t line the front door directly against the back door. This will cause the energy coming in from the front to exit directly from the back.

You should avoid sharp edges and corners as much as possible because it causes destructive energy. Be aware of this fact both indoors and outdoors in order to take appropriate actions.

Bathrooms have a great effect on the overall chi of your home. Be careful not to locate the bathroom at the center of your home or within the area of the main door.

Keep the toilet seat down and the bathroom doors closed at all times.

Dead flowers and plants cause bad energy. Get rid of these types of bad feng shui.

Colors are very powerful elements. You need to be careful about the color scheme you choose. It is also recommended to choose different colors for different parts of the house depending on the area’s function.
