How To Use Feng Shui Colors

There are various myths about the use of feng shui colors. Because feng shui is an ancient Asian art, many people have the misconception that red and black should be the primary colors.

Some people believe they will become lucky if they use red at their front door. Gold is another color that is believed in increase wealth of an individual who uses it.

However, these assumptions on how to use feng shui colors are actually inaccurate. There are certain principles you need to be aware of in order to use feng shui colors effectively.

The Right Feng Shui Colors Will Create Mood

Even scientists will agree that colors will affect a person’s mood. If you are around cheerful and bright colors, your mood will be lifted and you will become more upbeat.

And if you are surrounded by dark and warm colors, you will feel calm and comfortable.

So it is a given that if you intend to use feng shui colors, you need to determine which type of mood you want to create when you enter a room. For example, if you want your family room to be an exciting place where the family can hang out then choosing bright colors will be conductive for playtime.

The bright colors will produce an energy flow that will make your whole family enthusiastic. On the other hand, if you want to create a relaxing mood on the bedroom, you need to choose warm and dark colors.

Feng Shui Colors can create a Sense of Balance

Some people may have the misconception that if using some colors is good then using more of it is always better. It is, right? No. It doesn’t work that way with feng shui because you will be creating an imbalance if you do this.

Bold and bright colors can create enthusiasm but too much of this can become overpowering. As a result, the inhabitant of the room may feel anxious and overpowered.

The same is true for warm and dark colors. This is because if a little of these colors can soothe you, too much darkness can make you feel closed in or even depressed.

Feng shui should be used to enhance the natural balance in the environment and create a pleasant feeling among all its inhabitants. If you want to take advantage of feng shui colors on your home, you need to use subtlety.

Do not use every shade of brown. Instead, you can integrate this color to softer colors in the bedroom. You can also use this color on pictures, sofa pillows, and afghans to balance out the look.

Feng Shui Colors can make you Feel Positive

Whatever color you decide to integrate on your home, you need to ask yourself how you feel when you see it. If you don’t like it then the color is not really for you.

No matter what feng shui experts may say, real feng shui should make you feel positive. If it makes you feel uncomfortable and negative, then it is simply not right for you or the space where you put it.
