Brief Description On 5 Elements Of Feng Shui

Compatibility in action and opinion can be achieved only when the five elements of feng shui are handled in a proper way. 

The basic 5 elements are:

• Wood
• Fire
• Water
• Earth 
• Metal

When all these elements are properly used in you living area then you can have a balance between the Yin, the negative energies and Yang the positive energies. The characteristics and properties of each of these elements are different from each other. The guidelines and knowledge of feng shui are based on these five elements

Wood:

Wood is considered as the first element of feng shui with the Chinese name Mu. Wood is a sociable element which represents creativity, birth and innovation. The person associated with wood energy basically likes new challenges and adventures. These people are very bold, ambitious and community minded.

In the bagua map the direction of wood is east, season is spring and the color is green. Put up arts such as landscapes, floral and beautiful gardens; in order to strengthen the element of wood in your life. You can put up some wooden vase with energizing plants and flowers in the wealth, health and prosperity areas of your home so that wealth and general well being is increased.

Fire:

The element of fire brings in energy and enthusiasm into the life. Fire resembles to the summer season which is very hot and bright. People with high fire energy are very artistic in nature. They are very idealistic, capricious, and have a balanced nature.

The colors of fire produce warmth to your place. Red, pink, yellow, purple and peach colors are related to fire. The bagua map describes the south as the fire region. In china fire is known as Huo.

Earth:

The energy of earth according to feng shui represents stability in your life. Proper earth energy induces closeness and togetherness in all sorts of relationships that prevail in your home. Earth personalities are great supporters for their friends. Earth people are very honest, polite and tactful in nature. 

Materials that are expresses earth are clay, mud, cement, bricks and ceramics. Earth represents the center position of the home. Earth represents colors such as yellow, orange, beige, light brown and terracotta. Chinese describes earth as Tu.

Water:

The art of feng shui relates the essential element water with travel, learning and communication. In China water is known as shui. Water represents the winter season. Water is an essential element for living. Water symbolizes the old human years. Water people are very resourceful and single minded. 

In order to strengthen the water element you can depict the pictures of rivers or waterfalls in the direction of north. North is the water zone. The water element is depicted by the color black.

Metal:

Metal element according to feng shui is described as the cooling off period. Frequently metal has been referred as gold. The metallic element indicates success, harvest and business in feng shui. The colors gold, white, sliver, bronze, copper and platinum are well known metal colors. Metal represents the autumn season with the direction of west.

The cycle of these five elements of feng shui is continuous. In order to bring in harmony they all benefit with each other.
