Things Forbidden By Feng Shui

Feng shui is an ancient art form and techniques, used for the betterment of the quality of our lives and also to address the specific problems faced by us from time to time.

The main concept or theory upon which the feng shui is based is that all things surrounding us contain some kind of energy. This energy, in turn, can both be positive or negative and have a direct effect upon our lives.

Hence, to have the desired improvement in the quality of our lives, the feng shui art form suggests for making some changes and alterations in the arrangements of things around us to create a proper harmony in between the positive and negative energy levels.

The arrangements can be in the form of placing certain objects at its recommended places that we use in our day-to-day affairs. In this regards, feng shui recommends certain things that are to be avoided to create an environment conducive to a comfortable and peaceful living. 

The important things that are to be avoided in order to create the proper environment as per the feng shui way are as follows – 

Feng shui recommends that the house you live in should not be situated at the end of the road facing it. Similarly, the office space you work in should not be at the end of a hallway facing it.

The house should be of equal size with that of your neighbours. Otherwise, it would breed envy ill feeling, which might lead to friction.

The entrance of the house should be free from any clutter and there should not be obstacles to inhibit free movement. Any big trees, long bushes and shrubs should be cleared away.

As per the feng shui, the yin energy should be avoided. The yin energies are found around the churches, hospitals and cemeteries. Allowing the sunlights inside the house by opening the windows lessens the effects of yin energy.

The feng shui theory suggests that there should be some space left in between the furniture for the proper passage of the chin energy. The desks, chairs and beds should not be placed in front of the front doors as feng shui proscribes your back to be in the direction of the entrance.

The bagua map, an important tool of the feng shui says that the water and metal in the house and its surroundings should have a proper balance and harmony. Hence, care should be taken in placing the proper things that signifies these elements, at the proper places, so as to keep the all the five elements in their equilibrium.

Too much of fire, wood and earth elements should be avoided. Proper care should be taken as regards illuminating the dark corner of your house or office space as they always attract the yin energy while inhibiting the free flowage of the chin energy. A plant can also be put to lessen the effects of the yin energy. 

These are some of the things that the art of feng shui advises to avoid for promoting a better living.
